Why We Built This Site
Finding the right Grand Traverse County record often starts with knowing which court owns it. The Grand Traverse County Clerk / Circuit & Family Court Records Division maintains Circuit and Family files, registers of actions, indexes, calendars, filings, and payments. The 86th District Court clerk maintains district criminal, traffic, civil-infraction, general-civil, small-claims, and summary-proceeding records. Probate has its own clerk and record path. This site brings those separate routes into one place without claiming to hold the official file.
Michigan calls the clerk-maintained chronological case history a register of actions. MiCOURT Case Search is the statewide public layer for participating trial courts, while Grand Traverse's legacy 13th Circuit civil and criminal portals remain important local index channels. The legacy criminal portal covers circuit felony cases from 1981 forward. The civil portal covers circuit civil, domestic-relations, and appeal or removal matters, subject to its stated exclusions. The public online entry remains informational rather than the official record.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site and has no connection to a Michigan court, clerk, or agency. It cannot retrieve an official case file, change a setting, seal a case, issue a certified copy, or provide legal advice. A court or the holding clerk makes those decisions and provides the official record.
- It cannot supply an official docket sheet or case file
- It cannot set, reset, or confirm a hearing for a particular case
- It cannot remove, seal, amend, or correct a court record
- It cannot issue a certified docket, order, or document
- It cannot advise how a case or deadline applies to an individual situation
- It cannot guarantee that a listed procedure, fee, or setting is current
Only the court or clerk that holds a Grand Traverse County case can confirm its current status or issue an official or certified copy.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes powered by independent providers. Those providers operate their own services and set their own pricing. A referral fee may be earned when a provider's service leads to a paid signup. Provider results and terms are separate from the public court channels described here.
